Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Shamail Ahmed Khawaja presided over 17th meeting of Provincial Selection Board-2 during current year. First hundred doctors appointed as Senior Medical Officers grade 18 in common general cadre of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department and Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department have been promoted to Additional Principal Medical Officers in grade 19.
The meeting was informed that so far 1366 doctors, college teachers, school teachers and other grade 18 officers of provincial departments have been promoted to grade 19. Similarly, departmental provincial committees of different sections of S&GAD working directly under the supervision of Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmed Khawaja have given approval to promote 524 non gazetted officials during current year which include promotion of 41 stenographers of grade 14 to senior scale stenographers in grade 16, 42 personal assistants of grade 16 to private secretaries (grade 17) while 60 senior scale stenographers to personal assistants. 22 assistants (grade 16) have been promoted to superintendents in grade 17. 80 government officials of class 4 have been regularized in grade 11 as junior clerk while 50 senior clerks of grade 14 have been promoted to assistants in grade 16 and 77 junior clerks of grade 11 to senior clerks in grade 14 on regular basis. A representative delegation of office-bearers of All Pakistan Clerks Association during meeting with ACS welcomed the promotion of low salaried government servants and paid tributes to Shamail Ahmed Khawaja.
