Relief Goods Of More Than 12 Crore Rupees Distributed Among Flood Affectees Of Gilgit Baltistan

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, relief goods worth more than 12 crore rupees have been dispatched for the flood affectees of Gilgit Baltistan. Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin and DG PDMA Jawad Akram, during meeting with Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafeez ur Rehman, cabinet, ministers and advisors conveyed the message of good well for people of Gilgit Baltistan. Later, Bilal Yasin distributed bags of relief items among flood affectees of Gilgit Baltistan. Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafeez ur Rehman thanked Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and people for sending relief goods. DG PDMA Jawad Akram told that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab government will set up a state-of-the-art flood control room at Gilgit Baltistan which will work with the assistance of Punjab government for one and a half years. PDMA experts will assist officials of Gilgit Baltistan in professional training. Earlier, Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan hosted a traditional breakfast in honor of Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin, PDMA and other members of the delegation. Ministers and advisors of Gilgit Baltistan also participated. Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafeez ur Rehman thanked people of Punjab on sending relief goods for flood affectees. It is worth mentioning that five trucks of medicines, seven of tents and eight of food hampers were sent to Rawalpindi from where relief goods were dispatched to Gilgit Baltistan through C-130.
