Secretary Health Inquires After Health Of Affected Persons Of Poisonous Sweets In Jinnah Hospital

Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah, on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inquired after the health of patients affected by eating poisonous sweets in Layyah, admitted in Jinnah Hospital Lahore today. Najam Ahmed Shah presented bouquets to all the patients. Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Prof. Mahmood Shaukat and MS Dr. Shafqat was also present. Dr. Shafqat informed the Secretary that one female patient is serious while eight patients are improving.

Earlier, on the direction of Chief Minister, Secretary Specialized Healthcare Najam Ahmed Shah got shifted nine patients affected by poisonous sweets from Layyah to Jinnah Hospital last night for their further treatment. The patients who had been shifted included Zain Akbar, Nasreen Bibi, Husnain Akbar, Raziya Bibi, Shakila Bibi, Muhammad Tayyab, Amina Bibi, Muhammad Siddique and Muhammad Akbar. During the visit to Jinnah Hospital, Secretary Specialized Healthcare Najam Ahmed Shah directed the hospital administration to provide best treatment facilities and special care to the affected persons.
