A joint delegation of Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab (OPC) and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) comprising Mr Khalid Shaheen Butt Vice Chairman OPC, Mr Afzaal Bhatti Commissioner OPC, SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin Director Police OPC and Lubna Pathan DG PBIT on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is on a 6 days visit to Dubai , Bahrain and Qatar these days for understanding the problems of overseas Pakistanis and to inform them about the framework made for addressing their complaints and to facilitate them in finding trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The delegation after visiting Dubai and Bahrain has reached Qatar ... In Dubai the delegation met with Pak-Dubai Business council, Dubai and met with a large number of Pakistanis living in UAE at a dinner arranged by Council General Dubai where the community apprised the delegation with their problems as well as suggestions. The delegation assured them on the government's resolve for solving their complaints on priority basis. The delegation also briefed the Pakistani community about the investment opportunities available in Punjab and Pakistan and the delegation assured the overseas Pakistani community the full government support to investors.
In Bahrain the delegation met with the officials of the Commerce Ministry of Bahrain's and with the Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). The delegation also met with the members of the Pak -Bahrain Business Council.
A large gathering was arranged at Pakistan club Bahrain by Pak-Bahrain Business council where the delegation assured the Pakistani community living in Bahrain that the PM and CM Punjab are personally looking after the well being of overseas Pakistani community. The Pakistani community and the Bahraini businessmen showed keen interest in investing in Pakistan particularly in Punjab.
