Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Multan Metro Bus project is a splendid gift for the people of south Punjab. He said that running of Metro Buses will result in availability of modern, quality and speedy travelling facility to the people. Shehbaz Sharif said that work is being carried out round the clock on Multan Metro Bus project and it will soon be inaugurated. He was addressing a meeting through video link for reviewing pace of Multan Metro Bus project, here today. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme of provision of best transport facilities to the people. After launching of Metro Bus projects in Lahore and Rawalpindi- Islamabad, Metro Bus Project in Multan is in final stages. He said that Multan Metro Bus project will result in modern transport facility for the south Punjab. Shehbaz Sharif said that government is implementing a number of projects for the progress and prosperity of people of south Punjab and Multan Metro Bus project is a part of this programme. He said that transparency, standard and speed in development projects is hallmark of Punjab government and Multan Metro Bus project is being completed speedily under this policy. Shehbaz Sharif expressed the hope that Multan Metro Bus project will soon be inaugurated. Elected representatives belonging to south Punjab especially Multan thanked Chief Minister on launching Multan Metro Bus project and said that they are thankful to him for starting this modern transport project in Multan. They said that there was a dire need of this project in Multan which has been fulfilled by the Chief Minister. They also thanked the Chief Minister on implementation of a comprehensive programme for the development of south Punjab. Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development, concerned secretaries, MD Punjab Mass Transit Authority and concerned officials attended the meeting through video link from Civil Secretariat. Members National and Provincial Assembly, Syed Javed Shah, Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, Rana Mehmood ul Hassan, Muhammad Ali Khokhar, Shehzad Maqbool Bhutta, Haji Ehsan ud Din Qureshi, Commissioner Multan Division and concerned officials participated in the meeting through video link from Multan.
