Punjab Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Pays Tribute To Armed Forces

Provincial Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that our forefathers and brave solders of Pakistan army had rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war 1965. The nation jointly defeated the enemy. He said that our youth should defend the geographical, economical and ideological boundaries of the nation with the sword of education and modern technology. He said that without promoting education, it is impossible for a country to make progress. It is need of the hour to achieve prominent position among international community with the help of modern technology. We should promote the culture of science and research across the country which help to illuminate the candles of education. He said that the whole nation should give strict message to the internal and external enemies of the country. The whole nation have faced sacrifices in war against terrorism. Promotion of education is the only way to eradicate intolerance and extremism from the society. He expressed these views while talking at a ceremony regarding Defense Day at Unique Group of Institutes here today. He said that Unique Group of Institutes is playing positive role to deliver quality education across the province. Every year students from Unique Group achieved prominent position in exams of matric and intermediate. He appreciated the efforts of highly educated faculty members of Unique Group. He said that the teachers are the role model for their students. It is the only result of their hardships that today our youth is marching towards prosperity. Chairman Unique Group of Institutes Mr. Abdul Manan has said that Unique Group is working to root out the darkness of ignorance and disappointment from the society. Unique team is utilizing all its resources to promote education in all segments of the society. While addressing the ceremony, other participants paid tributes to the martyrs of Pak Army and appreciated the role of armed forces in 1965 war and recent war against terrorism. National songs, plays and tabloos were also performed in the ceremony. At the end Provincial Minister distributed awards among the students. Dr. Atique from Lahore College University, Prof. Amjad Ali Khan from Unique Group of Institutes, Prof. Jehanzeb Malik and Fariha Arshad were also present in the ceremony.
