Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti has said that so far Commission has received more than four thousand complaints of Overseas Pakistanis, out of which 50% have been redressed. Presiding over a departmental meeting, he said that OPC is playing a positive and proactive role to address the issues faced by the Overseas Pakistanis and they can contact OPC for redressal of their complaints regarding Government agencies of the Punjab. Commissioner OPC told that on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, OPC has developed a modern IT based system and through this system, complaints are referred to concerned departments to proceed further. He tool that OPC monitors the process electronically. Afzaal Bhatti further said that district Overseas Committees are also playing an active role to settle the issues of Overseas Pakistanis. Overseas Pakistanis are real ambassadors of the country and main purpose of OPC is to provide them an effective platform for resolving their problems, concluded Commissioner OPC.
