Punjab Government Is Taking Revolutionary Steps For The Promotion Of Education

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab government is taking revolutionary steps for the promotion of education. He said that suggestions given by delegation of University College London will prove to be a milestone in improvement of school education reforms, he added while addressing a meeting with the delegation of University College London in Directorate of Staff Development, today.  He said that 50 boy and girl students are going abroad for Ph. D in the best universities as well as 130 students leaving for China for learning Chinese who have been selected on merit .He said that these students on their return to Pakistan will play an active role for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is a visionary leader who promoted merit culture. Rana Mashhood said that as many as seventy thousand teachers are going to be inducted in the government schools of Punjab province. We are also working for capacity building of the teachers, he added.

The objective of the delegation of University College of London headed by Mrs. Kim Insley is to give suggestions and recommendations for the betterment in school reforms after observing the teaching method of government schools of the province. The delegation of University College London gave suggestions, recommendations after visiting different government schools and having meetings and focused group discussions with teachers, students and officials of school education department. The delegation stressed to improve school reforms, syllabus, capacity-building of teachers, better understanding among the teachers and the students and better educational environment. Secretary School Education Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, Programme Director DSD Saeed Ramzan, Tony Fisher from British Council, Javed Ameer Malik from DSD, Dr. Aneela Hassan and Tariq Mehmood were also present on the occasion.
