Provincial Development Working Party Approved Five Development Schemes Of Various Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 9396.38 million. The schemes were approved in the 29th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included Remodeling and Extension of Tayyab Drain (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 1324.365 million, Feasibility Study for Construction of Kas Umar Khan Canal System (Detailed Engineering designs project preparation) PC-II at the cost of Rs. 122.687 million, Project Preparation of Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Investment Program (PC-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 1221.000 million, Channelization of Deg Nullah (Land Acquisition Punjab Component) at the cost of Rs. 3442.854 million and Widening and Improvement of Main Road Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs. 3285.474 million.
