Out Of Box Policy Be Adopted To Solve Expats Problems

Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab high ups asked the administration of Rawalpindi Division to expedite the resolution mechanism of complaints relating to overseas Pakistanis and "out of Box" strategy should be adopted for early redressal of the issues of expats.

This was stated during a meeting of Vice Chairperson OPC Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti with Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmood on Tuesday. DG, OPC Javed Iqbal Bokhari and Director Legal OPC Raja Zubair were also present during the meeting. Vice Chairperson OPC Shaheen Khalid Butt told the participants that overseas Pakistanis are real ambassadors of the country and OPC Punjab is pursuing a vigorous policy to help expatriates regarding redressal of their complaints about government agencies of the Punjab. 

Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti informed the meeting that district Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) of the entire division should pro-actively work so that the grievances of the overseas Pakistanis could be solved at the earliest. OPC delegation also briefed the meeting about its working and the steps taken by the commission to help the Pakistanis living abroad. Afzaal Bhatti asked the divisional administration to ensure two meetings of DOPCs during a month and special cell should be established at district level.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmud assured the delegation of OPC of full support and directed the civil and police administration to give priority to the issues of the overseas Pakistanis and proceedings regarding redressal of complaints should be properly uploaded on web complaints portal of OPC. During meeting, certain complaints of overseas Pakistanis were discussed in detail and Commissioner Rawalpindi Division issued necessary directions regarding redressal of these complaints.
