A three member delegation of British High Commission visited Anti-Corruption Establishment Headquarters and called on officers of Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab. British High Commission delegation comprising Dr. Mark Shaw, Tariq Mehmood and Muhammad Ali Naikukara, discussed issues relating to investigation and process of complaints handling in ACE Punjab. Secretary Services Punjab Farhan Ali Khawaja led the delegation comprising Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Brig. (R) Muzaffar Ali Ranjgha, Additional DG Anti-Corruption Nadeem Sarwar, Director Technical, Director Legal, Director Research & Development and heads of other sections of ACE.
The delegation was told that Government of Punjab is determined to transform Anti-Corruption Establishment into a reliable, independent and vibrant investigation agency and capacities of officers and investigation staff of ACE are being enhanced. The delegation emphasized the need of professional skills of the officers and staff of ACE to eradicate corruption in government departments. It was decided in the meeting that officers and staff would be trained by renowned investigation institutions of UK and DFID would provide assistance in this regard. Training exchange Programe is being designed by DFID to enhance professional skills and capacity building of the officers and staff of ACE and all the officers and staff of ACE would get the required training gradually. Transparency in inquiries, cases and investigation is obvious by introduction of Anti-Corruption Complaint Management System (ACCMS) apart from effective monitoring. Latest gadgets and technology would bring visible change in not only procedure of complaint handling but also environment culture of Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab, concluded DG ACE Brig.
