Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmad Shah paid a surprise visit to the Jinnah Hospital. The Secretary took a round of various wards, emergency department. He also inspected the cleanliness condition of washrooms. The Secretary directed that Professors and Senior Doctors should ensure their evening round of the wards to discharge fully recovered patients. He said that healthy patients should not be kept waiting for next morning for discharge from the hospital. He said that this would also improve the beds availability for new patients. Najam Ahmad Shah directed the administration of the hospital to come up with a plan for reducing bed occupancy rate within a week.
Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmad Shah visited washrooms and expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness. He also reviewed the seepage of the building. He said that seepage of Jinnah Hospital building is a long awaited issue which would be resolved on priority basis during revamping of the hospital.
