Punjab Minister for Primary & Secondary Health Kh. Imran Nazir has said that Punjab Health Department would benefit from the long experience of Turkey in Health Insurance, medicines procurement and drug testing system to transform the Punjab Health Sector on modern lines.
He expressed these views while visiting Directorate General for Universal Health Insurance, Ankara along with his delegation. Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah was also present on this occasion. The Health authorities of Turkey briefed the Punjab Minister and his delegation regarding Universal Health Insurance Registration System. Presentation on Social Security Institution, Healthcare Software Informatics and health applications communiqué were also given to the delegation. Kh. Imran Nazir also visited Social Security Institution Headquarter Balgat, Ankara. The Minister also visited Drug Testing Laboratory and medicines stores. Kh. Imran Nazir reviewed the system of DTL and medicines storage. He said that Punjab government gave great importance to the valuable cooperation extended by the Ministry of Health Turkey for upgrading of hospitals and streamlining the healthcare delivery system and ambulance services in Punjab. At the end of his visit the Minister was presented souvenir as a memento of his visit to Turkey.
