Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti has said that by virtue of vibrant input of field officers at divisional and district level, complaints of Overseas Pakistanis can be addressed in days rather than months .He was presiding over a meeting to review the pending complaints of expatriate Pakistanis in Rawalpindi Division .Commissioner Rawalpindi Azmat Mehmood, DC Talat Mehmood Gondal, CPO Israr Ahmad attended the meeting. Commissioner OPC said that role of district administration is very pivotal to resolve overseas Pakistanis problems as it directly deals with line departments. He said that instead of adopting traditional methods to resolve the issues of Overseas Pakistanis, out of Box strategy should be adopted and mechanism of complaint redressal be expedited. Afzaal Bhatti said that field officers should ensure at least two meetings of District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) in a month and proceedings regarding redressal of complaints be uploaded on OPC Web Portal regularly. Different Complaints of Overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion and Commissioner OPC issued necessary instructions to resolve these issues. Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Azmat Mehmood informed the participants of the meeting that complaints of Overseas Pakistanis are being settled on priority basis and implementation on the decisions of DOPCs is being ensured.
