E-Monitoring System Launched For Checking The Performance Of Hospitals—Ali Jan Khan

Secretary Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Ali Jan Khan has said that according to directions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, steps have been taken in primary and secondary health sector. He said that provision of free medicines and best treatment facilities are being ensured to the patients in all district and tehsil headquarters hospitals.

He said this during his visit to District Headquarters Hospital Jhelum. MS DHQ Khalid Mehmood Chotala and CEO Health Dr. Asif also accompanied him. Ali Jan Khan inspected different wards and outdoor of the hospital and reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients. Secretary Health inquired from the patients about the treatment facilities and provision of free medicines in the hospital upon which they said that they are getting free medicines and the arrangements are far better than earlier. Ali Jan Khan appreciated the hospital administration on better cleanliness arrangements. He said that implementation of Chief Minister Health Roadmap Programme has resulted in prominent improvement of basic health units, rural health centers and tehsil and district headquarters hospitals. He said that e-monitoring system has been introduced for assessment of performance of the hospitals as a result of which attendance of doctors & staff, availability of medicines and routine coverage of EPI programme has substantially increased. The shortage of staff in all the health centers of Jhelum will soon be met, he added.
