As a result of the efforts of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, a US based expatriate Pakistani got his 5.9 million rupees back. Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti informed that Saleem Rana of Brooklyn, New York, USA, sent Rs. 5.9 million to his close relative to purchase a house in Pakistan. His relative purchased the house, but got it transferred to his name and refused to give house or money to Saleem Rana. Afzaal Bhatti said that this complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Lahore for further proceedings. Chairman Public Facilitation Committee OPC/Member DOPC Lahore Sajid Chaudhery made hectic efforts to resolve this issue and after concerted hard work , the respondent gave a cheque of Rs. 4.5 million and Rs. 1.4 million Cash, which was handed over to complainant Saleem Rana. Afzaal Bhatti told that OPC is providing relief to expatriate Pakistanis by solving their complaints and by now 50% issues of Overseas Pakistanis have been settled.
