Provincial Minister for Human Rights and minority affairs, Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that 10 December known as the international day of human rights and we have to make arrangements from right now to make it memorable. He said that to educate people of Pakistan about their rights is the top priority of Human Rights Department. He expressed these views while chairing a departmental meeting in Human Rights Office, today. Secretary HRMA Asim Iqbal and other relevant officers were present on the occasion. The Minister said that 10th December always celebrated every year in all over the Pakistan and we have to work on a special campaign from December 06 till 10 December, so that the people can know their rights. He directed officials of department that especially in Lahore City, banners and flaxes should be displaced on the roads. The Minister said that role of educational institutions is very important for awareness of human rights. He directed secretary HRMA to make arrangements of the speeches competition in all over the Punjab. He further directed that in speeches competitions ensured the representation of Punjab's Private and Public Universities to convey a clear message across the world that how much importance is being given to rights of common man by Punjab Government.
