Ijaz Alam Augustine Greets Baisakhi to Sikh Pilgrims

Provincial Minister for HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine has welcomed Sikh Pilgrims on the arrival of Punjab to visit their religious places and also wished everyone a happy start to the Sikh Harvest Festival and says Baisakhi also known as Vaisakhi is a historical and religious festival in Sikhism. It marks the Sikh new year (Khalsa era) and it is additionally a spring harvest festival for the Sikhs. He said that on the eve of Baisakhi, Government of the Pakistan has issued 2200 Visas for Sikh Pilgrims and large number of Sikh pilgrims will come to Pakistan for Basakhi from 12 April to 22 April. Ijaz Alam said during this tenure, Sikh Pilgrims can visit Katarpur, Panja sahib and Nankana Sahib for their religious activities. Minister said that “Pakistan is the land of Sikh Gurus and Sikhs love this land. We always welcomed Sikh Pilgrims with love and it is a true example of Sikh-Muslim friendship.
