A proper color coding system has been introduced in the Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences (PINS) to ensure a patient-friendly environment, under which each section will be highlighted in different colors to guide the visitors. This initiative will enable the sick and the needy ones to reach the respective wards directly without wasting time and also provide to the best possible environment to the citizens. Talking about this, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Executive Director PINS, said that color boards have been displayed at the main gate and every floor of the PINS for the convenience and guidance of the people while for the doctors and employees of the Institute. He disclosed that better parking facilities are being provided to the doctors/employees as basement-I & II as well as parking margins for doctors have been specified in front of the institution according to the color of each department. These steps are also necessary and measures have been taken to reach the principles set in accordance with the international standards. He expressed his determination to take more revolutionary steps in the future as well and the time is not far when this Neuro Institute will merge to the international model. Prof. Mahmood said that all these initiatives have been carried out for completion through teamwork, which would help PM Imran Khan's health vision. ED PINS added that the patient friendly policy of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar and the instructions given by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid will be followed and a unique institution like PINS will be able to serve patients in a much better way. Explaining the details of color coding system, Prof. Dr. Khalid said that Yellow color displayed for Neuro Surgery Unit-I , Orange for Unit-II, Green for Unit-III, Dark Blue for Neurology, Red for Operation Theater, Purple for MRI, dark green for CSSD and light blue sign boards for emergency and CT scans have been put up.
