Tourism Department Decides To Digitize Patriata Chairlift System

Punjab Tourism Department has decided to digitize Patriata chairlift and cable system in Murree. From 15th July, E-ticketing will be introduced on trial basis. Presiding over a meeting on progress of digitization project, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Tourism Asif Mehmood said that digitization of the Patriata chairlift would provide convenience to tourists. Three ticket counters will be set up in Patriata to facilitate visitors. He directed to review the provision of internet facility to the citizens in Patriata. He directed that transparency should be ensured in ticketing process. The adviser strongly said that free passes should not be issued at any level in Patriata as Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar both are against VIP culture. Asif Mehmood also directed that Corona SOPs must be strictly followed in all tourist destinations as the threat has not been completely averted yet. Additional Secretary Kulsoom Saqib, MD TDCP Tanveer Jabbar, DG Archaeology Ilyas Gill and Director Archaeology Maqsood Malik were also present in the meeting.
