Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that a strong economy is possible only through rapid industrial development. An effective strategy has been adopted for this purpose. 10 special economic zones have been established in the province. Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal expressed these views while addressing the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Tanneries Association Dinpur Kasur. The Provincial Minister administered oath to the newly elected office bearers and congratulated them. Addressing the function, Mian Aslam Iqbal said that there is a conducive environment for investment in the special economic zones. World-class industrial infrastructure has been provided in the industrial estates . Local and foreign investors are giving priority to invest in Punjab. He said that in the last 4years, more than Rs350 billion investments has been made in various sectors. Mian Aslam Iqbal said that effective measures have also been taken for the development of small and medium scale industries. President Shan Elahi, Vice President Noor Ahmad Khan and other office bearers and executive members were present on the occasion. President Tannery Association Mian Shan Elahi said that he was grateful to Mian Aslam Iqbal for taking personal interest in solving the problems of the industrialists of tanneries. A large number of industrialists attended the swearing in ceremony held in Kasur.
