Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif reached Sialkot-Sambrial Airport Chowk to review the flood situation in the flood-hit areas. Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali gave her a detailed briefing on the post-flood situation in Sialkot.
She appreciated the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner and her team. She also appreciated the day and night efforts of the Sialkot administration to rescue the flood victims. She directed to ensure a complete drainage process by installing additional dewatering pumps in the low-lying areas.
She directed to provide Ration/food to the flood victims until their complete recovery. She directed the assembly members to visit flood-hit areas. The parliamentarians presented suggestions and recommendations for sustainable measures for the drainage of rainwater.
