Environmental Protection Department, Traffic Police and Transport Department has collectively started awareness campaign for monitoring of noise pollution and smoke emitting vehicles for which four person based squad has monitored noise pollution and smoke emitted from vehicles near Bhati Square. About 254 vehicles were monitored in this regard from which 60 vehicles were given challans and people were instructed to use four stroke vehicles instead of two stroke vehicles. Awareness campaign was started in regard of removal of air pollution caused by traffic vehicles under which individually and collectively people were distributed pamphlets and written lectures regarding environmental protection. This campaign instructed them to use four stroke vehicles instead of two stroke vehicles because two stroke vehicles are not only unsafe but also a machine for polluting environment. Moreover, instructions have been provided for in time repairing of vehicles, use of quality mobil oil and undue use of horn in this regard.
