Oscar Award winner, prominent actress and film maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has appreciated public awareness and process of effective legislation for eradicating the incidents of violence against women. Talking at Special Monitoring Unit Law & Order Chief Minister’s Office, she said that approval of Punjab Protection of Women Bill is a welcome step for checking the incidents of violence against women. Earlier, Senior Member SMU Law & Order Salman Sufi welcomed Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy on her arrival at SMU Office and gave a detailed briefing to her regarding public services of SMU. Sharmeen Obaid expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious human lives in Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy.
