Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid surprise visit to District Headquarter Hospital and Land Record Center set up under Land Record Information Management System, Hafizabad without any prior information. The Chief Minister went to the hospital and land record center by an ordinary van without any protocol. A Toyota car was available for the Chief Minister but he refused to sit in it. He sat in an ordinary van with his staff and other officers. There was no protocol vehicle with the Chief Minister and he first visited DHQ Hospital by travelling 20 minutes and later arrived at land record center by the same van. During the visit of Shehbaz Sharif, traffic was not stopped at any place and his van continued plying with general traffic. After arrival at the hospital, the Chief Minister inquired after the patients and asked their attendants about the provision of medicines and treatment facilities. He also inspected toilets adjacent to the wards. The patients and their attendants informed Shehbaz Sharif about their problems and also prayed for him on issuing immediate orders for resolution of problems. The Chief Minister also checked the stock of medicines in medicines store room and expressing his indignation over not updating the record of medicines ordered audit of stock of all medicines. On receiving the information about the arrival of Shehbaz Sharif, hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital and informed him about their problems. On the complaint of a citizen, the Chief Minister directed DPO that the accused involved in the murder of his son should immediately be arrested and brought to condign justice. The people raised slogans of Shehbaz Sharif Zindabad.
