On special instructions of Punjab government, Provincial Secretary Zakat & Usher Habib ur Rehman Gillani visited Kasur and reviewed arrangements in DHQ Hospital and DPS school. DCO Salman Ghani, Additional District Collector Muhammad Shahid, EDO Health Dr. Masood Tariq, DSP City Muhammad Ikram Khan, District Chairman Zakat & Usher Ch. Muhammad Sadiq, District Officer Zakat & Usher Ashfaq Ahmed Khan and other officers accompanied him. Secretary Zakat & Usher paid a detailed visit to DHQ Hospital. MS DHQ Hospital Dr. Shehnaz Naseem gave a briefing to the Secretary. He checked different sections including medical ward, surgical ward, pediatric ward, dialysis ward, outdoor and emergency ward and inquired from the patients and attendants about the facilities being provided in the hospital. He said that Punjab government is taking all out steps for providing healthcare facilities to the people and revolutionary steps are being taken for the uplift of health sector so that healthcare facilities could be provided to people of far-flung areas. He directed officers of health department to discharge their duties with devotion and hard for further improving the performance of the hospital and utilize all their energies for providing best treatment facilities to the people. Habib ur Rehman Gillani also checked security arrangements at DPS school and Bullay Shah Degree College. Principal DPS Capt. (R)Muhammad Adil and Administrator Muhammad Jehangir Chopra gave briefing to the Secretary. The Secretary inspected the school in detail. He checked control room, boundary wall and other arrangements in the school and expressed satisfaction. Later, the Secretary held a meeting with DCO Salman Ghani, District Chairman Zakat & Usher Muhammad Sadiq and District Officer Zakat & Usher Ashfaq Ahmed Khan directed to constitute local zakat committees at the earliest so that provision of funds to the deserving persons could be made possible.
