Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that innovations are being introduced through IT in School Education Department, which has resulted in improvement of monitoring andperformance of the department, teachers’ training as well as results. He said that all departments and attached departments of Education Department should improve their performance.
He stated this while presiding over a review meeting regarding performance of Education Department and its subsidiary institutions. Besides Special Secretary Schools Education, senior officers of Punjab Education Foundation, Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board, Punjab Examination Commission and PMIU were present on the occasion. The Minister said that enrolment campaign is being started within next few days and concerned officers should make full preparations in this regard. He said that meeting of the department will be regularly held every month for reviewing its performance. He said that fixed targets will be given to every subsidiary institution of the department and report will be sought from the officials in monthly review meeting.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan directed that besides Schools Education Department Punjab, complete data of educational institutions running under the arrangement of federal government, provincial institutions, NGOs and different organizations in the province. He said that seminar of all stakeholders rendering services in education department of the province should be held in which they will be consulted for new ideas and innovation of IT. He said that implementation of education policy will be discussed by convening a joint meeting of all Deputy Secretaries and Section Officers of Provincial Education Department.
