Advisor to Chief Minister on Livestock Arshad Jutt has said that 2.5 lakh poultry birds are being distributed among poor women and widows in the province. He said that 150 million rupees are being spent on processing of female camel milk and diagnosis of animals. Similarly, 60 million rupees are being spent on the farming of ostrich, he added. Arshad Jutt said that the offices of Deputy District Livestock Officers are being set up at tehsil level for providing best livestock services to the livestock breeders. He said that instead of bringing sick animals to the hospitals, mobile veterinary dispensaries are being provided in their offices for treatment of animals.
