In order to update knowledge of focal persons of public sector hospitals on H1 N1 Seasonal Influenza regarding protective measures of this disease and treatment of the patients, Directorate General Health Punjab arranged a one-day awareness workshop.
Focal persons on Seasonal Influenza of teaching hospitals as well as district and tehsil headquarters hospitals participated in the workshop. Director General Health Punajb Dr. Amjad Shehzad, Associate Professor King Edward Medical University Dr. Somia Iqtidar, Director Health CDC, Dr. Habib ur Rehman, Director Health Services (headquarters) Dr. Abdul Razzaq and other medical experts provided awareness and updated the knowledge of the focal persons regarding controlling, protective measures against seasonal Influenza and treatment of the patients. Director General Health Dr. Amjad Shehzad said that the purpose of the awareness workshop was to improve the professional knowledge of the doctors regarding seasonal Influenza through refresher course. He said that the focal persons as master trainers will provide guidance to other doctors and staff which will help in controlling the disease and better treatment of the patients.
