Provincial Minister for Zakat & Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has directed District Chairmen and officers of District Zakat Committees to complete the process of setting up of local Zakat committees at the earliest otherwise action would be initiated against them.
He issued these instructions while presiding over a special meeting regarding setting up of Zakat committees, here today. Secretary Zakat & Ushr Habib ur Rehman Gillani, Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Yousaf Butt besides other officers concerned were present on the occasion. The Minister directed District Chairmen and officers to complete the process of establishment of Zakat committees on priority basis and take this instruction as the last warning. The meeting also reviewed distribution of Zakat among deserving persons under different heads.
