Work On 38 Projects Of Special Education Department Is Continuing

Provincial Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manhais has said that no compromise will be made on the quality and period of ongoing development projects of Special Education Department costing 784000 million rupees.

This was stated by him during a review meeting of the annual development projects of Special Education Department for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16. Secretary Special Education Ambreen Raza, Director Faazil Cheema besides District Officers of Special Education of all districts of Punjab attended the meeting. Director Special Education informed the Minister that three special centers are being established with an amount of 203.224 million rupees in Bahawalpur Division, out of which Shadab Training Center for mentally retarded children is near to completion whereas work is continuing speedily on two projects. He informed that work is continuing on three projects of 130 million rupees in Dera Ghazi Khan, of which, building of Govt. Special Education Center Krore Lal Eisan is near completion. He informed that up-gradation from middle to secondary of Special Education Centre Layyah is also included. He told that the work on three projects of 163.142 million rupees is continuing in Gujranwala. Similarly three projects have been started in Faisalabad costing 103 million rupees. Work is also containing on ten projects in Lahore Division with an amount of 244 million rupees. Three projects have also been started in Rawalpindi Division costing 250.343 million rupees. He told that work is being carried out on six projects in Multan Division with an amount of 298.414 million rupees. Similarly work has also been started on four new projects at a cost of rupees 70 million rupees in Sarghodha Division whereas two projects are being started with an amount of32 million rupees in Sahiwal.

The provincial Minister directed all district officers to speed up work on 38 ongoing projects of Special Education Department so that these projects could be completed on time.
