Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank is being organized on modern lines and will be made a role model for other banks. He said that bank has launched easy account service for providing best facilities to its clients and now accounts can be opened with 100 rupees only.
He expressed these views while addressing a departmental meeting. Malik Iqbal Channar said that easy account has been introduced on the instructions of State Bank under which saving and current accounts can immediately be opened without any hindrance. He said that this account is very useful for low-income people. The Provincial Minister said that the account holder can make monthly transaction of five lakh rupees under this account. He said that the account forms have been printed both in English and Urdu as per instructions of State Bank of Pakistan.
