Punjab Workers Welfare Board Signs MoU With International Beverage Company

Punjab Workers Welfare Board, to effectively cater the educational and training needs of teaching and administrative staff in PWWB schools, has now decided to start an awareness programme on nutrition health and wellness of school children between the ages of 6 to 16 year in collaboration with an International Beverage Company under its Public Service Campaign. Nutritionists will provide training to the teachers under the premises of PWWB schools along with providing the kids colorful awareness books published by Oxford Printing Press.
         
An MoU signing ceremony in this regard was held here today at PESSI Head office Lahore. Minister Labour and HR Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was the chief guest at this occasion. Mr. Ali Ashar, CSV Manager of the company and Secretary PWWB Shahid Zaman Lak signed the MoU. Additional Secretary Labour Syed Mubasher Hussain, VC PESSI Khalid Saleem, Director Education PWWB Dr. Arshad, Dr. Javed Gill, Media Manager of the company Attika Mir Khan, Public and Government Relations Manager Mansoor Noor and concerned officers from labor department were present at this occasion. 

Minister Labour Raja Ashfaq Sarwar lauded the efforts of Nestle Pakistan for its non-promotional and non-marketing welfare programmes for nutrition-awareness and health hygiene of children specially of labour community. Punjab government is fully supporting such efforts of multinational companies and NGOs for these creative and training programme, he added. CSV Manager of the company Ali Ashar informed that their company has provided awareness to more than 70000 kids in more than 80 countries under their Nutrition Programme and further going to launch its Water Education Project to create awareness among children regarding importance of clean water. Nutrition experts will impart training to the teachers of PWWB schools and those teachers as master trainers will further train their colleagues to extend this awareness campaign, he added.
