Home Minister, Chief Secretary Visit Control Room of PDMA

Provincial Minister for Home Col. Retd. Shuja Khanzada, Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal accompanied by Chief Relief Commissioner Nadeem Ashraf visited the control room of PDMA. Chief Relief Commissioner while giving a briefing informed that all rivers, canals and water channels are flowing normally in the province. He said that there is no possibility of heavy rains during next few days. He said that there is no threat of rains and flood in south Punjab and Sindh. He said that rivers, canals and water channels are being regularly monitored and data is being regularly received after every six hours. He told that warehouse in Lahore has been made on modern lines where food items and other essential commodities have been stored in abundance. He said that the food stock in warehouses of all districts has been updated while vaccines are also available for animals. He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Shari, financial assistance of Rs.5 lakh each is being provided to three persons who were killed while bathing in rain in Narowal.
