Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has said that Punjab government is making efforts for the protection of women rights and effective steps are being taken for empowering them.
She expressed these views while inaugurating daycare center at Government College for Women, Jand. Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din said that Punjab government has allocated huge funds for women rights in the budget which will be spent on education, social development and other works. She said that secret of country’s development lies in the development of women. Earlier, she inaugurated daycare center. She said that daycare center is essential for the staff working in the college and such daycare centers are being set up throughout the province. MPA Malik Zafar Iqbal, MPA Malik Shahwaiz Khan, DCO Attock Ch. Habib Ullah, AC Jand Aamir Shaheen Ranja, staff of the college, female students and a large number of electronic and print media were present on the occasion.
Later, a briefing was given by Community Development Department regarding Punjab women empowerment package. Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din appreciated district administration on launching a campaign for creating awareness about women rights.
