Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed has directed to ensure the availability of eatables on fix prices in all Ramzan Bazaars. He instructed to make special arrangements for women and senior citizens in Ramzan Bazars. He said that the subsidy given under Ramzan package is being spent for providing relief to the people.
Dr. Farrukh Javed expressed these views while paying surprise visits to Ramzan Bazaars at Ferozwala, Sheikhupura and Nankana today. Minister for Agriculture checked quality of food items and inquired from the consumers about the prices. He checked the stalls of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, agriculture fairs price shop, poultry, utility stores, drinks and meat in Bazaars. He notices difference of rate on Banana and Tomato in some bazaars of Sheikhupura and directed the distinct administration to ensure same prices and better quality in all bazaars. He said that provincial ministers and other senior officials are monitoring the Ramzan Bazaars all over the province to ensure transparency. He instructed the administration to ensure proper cleanliness of the bazaars to provide best atmosphere to the citizen. He said that provision of maximum relief to public is the top priority of the Punjab Government. He said that a subsidy of 3.5 billion is given on flour in Ramzan Bazaars and other commodities are also available at lower prices as compare to open market. He said that large number of people are visiting Ramzan Bazaars which is a positive sign. He said that efforts for providing relief to masses will continue throughout Ramzan ul Mubarak. While talking to the consumers, the minister said that eatables and other commodities are available at lower prices in Ramzan Bazaars as compare to open market. Ramzan Bazaars have been transformed into deal Ramzan markets through better management and continuous monitoring.
