Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar paid surprise visit to different Ramazan bazaars of the city today. He asked administration that Punjab government is making efforts to ensure due rights to the people and profiteers should be discouraged during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak and FIRs be registered against them for awarding deterrent punishment. He said that a vigilant eye should be kept on middleman mafia in fruit and vegetable markets so that elements creating artificial price-hike could be awarded punishment. He said that government has empowered government officials to conduct surprise raids in shops and bazaars for eliminating artificial price-hike and hoarding. He said that government is giving subsidy of every kind to the people so that they should live peacefully during Ramazan. In the end, he visited Ramazan Sasta bazaars and inspected quality of fruits and vegetables.
