A dengue awareness walk has been arranged under the aegis of Gulberg Town from Liberty Chowk to Hafeez Centre on the eve of International Anti-Dengue Day. Member Provincial Assembly & Chairman Emergency Response Committee Gulberg Town Mohsin Latif and Secretary Population Welfare Altaf Aizad Khan led the walk. People from all walks of life besides boy and girl students participated in the walk in large numbers.
Pamphlets and brochures based on protective measures about dengue were distributed among the cars, motorcycles and cycle riders and pedestrians during the walk from Liberty Roundabout. Shop owners on the route of the walk were provided awareness regarding dengue and they were asked to keep their shops, houses and surroundings neat and clean.
People from all walks of life attended the walk arranged by Town Municipal Authority. Speakers threw light on the efforts being made by the government for eradication of dengue. They were of the view that government is fulfilling its responsibilities but as a citizen, it is our collective responsibility to discharge our obligation for eradication of dengue. They said that dengue is a collective problem, therefore, we should work jointly for eradication of dengue.
