Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has launched the pilot project of interactive class room technology in Lahore, Multan and Chakwal districts to provide world-class education to the students enrolled in its partner schools. In the first phase, the technology has been introduced in 24 selected partner schools in these districts. The subjects of science, math and English of 6th to 8th classes are taught through this technology and the students also take part in studies by operating the latest educational technology doled out to the partner schools free of cost by the foundation. PEF has also provided hands-on training to 406 teachers of these schools so that they could efficiently handle the interactive technology and give best education to their students.
This was stated by Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Engineer Qamar ul Islam Raja while presiding over a departmental meeting about the pace of development of this project at his office on Saturday. MD PEF Dr. Aneela Salman, Director Bushra Saeed Khan and other officers besides school partners and their teachers were also present.
PEF Chairman expressed the satisfaction that this project has proved very successful in giving quality education to the students. This has also involved them in learning process which is helping to improve their intellectual ken as well as giving access to latest educational concepts. This has given new confidence to the teachers besides improving the classroom environment. He hoped that the students will make best use of this technology to learn new concepts and grow as confident youth. MD PEF Dr. Aneela Salman hoped that this project will go a long way in ensuring quality education as well as helping to improve the overall educational standards of the partner schools. Partner school teachers termed the introduction of classroom technology as a milestone step in giving quality education to the students.
