Provincial Minister for Food and Chairman Cabinet Price Control Committee, Bilal Yasin has said that government has ensured special benefit to the people by reducing the prices of ghee to provide relief to the masses which will leave an impact on every family.
Talking to delegations of people at his office here today, Provincial Minister said that Punjab government has started taking measures for benefiting the people of reduction in the prices of ghee and oil. Instructions have been issued to DCOs of all districts including Lahore to ensure sale of ghee and oil at new prices and action be taken against profiteers and hoarders, he added. He directed district administration that ghee should be made available in Sunday bazaars in abundance so that people could not face any difficulty in its purchase. The Minister said that government is determined to eradicate price-hike and district administration has especially been activated in this regard. Prices of other edibles are also being strictly monitored and teams of district administration are active round the clock to control profiteering, he added.
Bilal Yasin said that PML(N) government is taking practical steps for providing relief to the people so that common man should get the fruits of reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the shape of reduction in the prices of daily use commodities. He said that government will not spare hoarders and profiteers in this regard. He said that negligence by district administration will not be tolerated at all, he added.
