Overcharging not be tolerated during Ramazanul Mubarak

Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Syed Haroon Sultan Bokhari has said that overcharging will not be tolerated during Ramazanul Mubarak. He said that the fruits of subsidy of Rs. 3.25 billion on atta given by the Punjab government and the decrease in prices of edible items by traders should reach to the people. He said that responsibilities have been assigned to Ministers, Members of National and Provincial Assemblies and PML-N workers for monitoring the facilities and quality in Ramazan Bazars who have started inspection.

He expressed these views while talking to consumers during inspection of Ramazan Bazar at DG Khan. He said that complaints would be redressed in Ramazan Bazars on the spot. He said that wide publicity should be launched about the prices in open market and Ramazan Bazars. DCO Ali Bahadur Qazi informed that four Ramazan Bazars have been set up in the district where daily use items are being provided at cheaper rates than the open market. He said that fair price shops set up by Agriculture Department, green channel by farmers and the items at utility stores by the federal government are being sold at lesser prices in Ramazan Bazars than open market. He said that the rates of fruits and vegetables are fixed on daily basis in these bazaars.
