Punjab Information Technology Board has completed the revamping of the IT system of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education in the province which has resulted in substantial improvement in the examination system, admissions and results compilation.
Giving details, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Dr. Umar Saif said that after improvement of IT system during last one and a half years, successful online admissions of over 5.5 million students from 13560 schools and 3452 colleges as well as private candidates have been made. He said that automated allocation of exam centers to candidates and generation of roll number slips is being issued. He said that it has also helped in third-party validation and detection of errors relating to results tabulation, scanning of answer sheets and compilation of results. He further said that these important milestones could not have been achieved without continuous support of Chief Minister Punjab. He said that administration of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education of the province have also expressed satisfaction over the measures taken by Punjab Information Technology Board for the introduction of new IT system and uploading of relevant data. Dr. Umar Saif also thanked Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Finance, Secretary Higher Education and Secretary Information for their cooperation in this regard.
