Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive welfare programme of the youth under which besides provision of facilities of modern knowledge, big playgrounds and stadiums of sports are being constructed for enhancing physical capabilities.
He expressed these views while inspecting the project of setting up of spectacular sports stadium / park at 105 kanal land in Firdous Colony Jhang Road Faisalabad. He said that setting up of sports stadium would not only provide the opportunities of healthy activities to the youth but also add a big sports stadium in urban development. He said that with the special approval of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, precious land of more than Rs.96 crore which was being used by Ayub Research Institute has been allocated for this public-welfare oriented project.
Rana Sanaullah said that this sports stadium would become of international standard where various sports competitions of international level would be held. He said that various projects have been completed on priority basis for construction and rehabilitation of playgrounds and public parks in the area due to which equal opportunities of recreational facilities would be available to the men and women. He said that the construction of fabulous sports avenue adjacent to Rakh Branch Canal in Samnabad has not only provided various sports facilities to the youth but also enhanced regional beauty. He directed MD (PHA) on this occasion to immediately arrange sports facilities including cricket and jogging track by leveling all land of of stadium for which funds of Rs.44 lakh have been allocated.
