Secretary Health Punjab, Arif Nadeem presided over a meeting of Provincial Quality Control Board. The meeting reviewed 60 cases of spurious, substandard and unregistered drugs.
The meeting directed to send 29 cases to drug courts and registration of cases with police in 12 cases. The meeting further directed to issue warning to persons responsible in four cases of irregularities of ordinary nature while deferred 15 cases to the next meeting for further investigation. Additional Secretary Health (Technical) Dr. Anwar Janjua, Prof. Mehboob Rabbani, Prof. Naveed Iqbal, Prof. Arif Siddiqui, Secretary Provincial Quality Control Board Muazzam Khan, Director Pharmacy Ayaz Ali Khan and Chief Drug Inspector Ghulam Dastagir attended the meeting.
