Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to newly constructed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Raiwind without any protocol and prior intimation today. Administration and media remained completely unaware about the visit of Chief Minister. During the journey of Chief Minister from Model Town to Raiwind, flow of traffic remained normal and traffic was not stopped anywhere at any occasion, but the vehicle of Chief Minister stopped at traffic signals. On absence of staff at reception, the Chief Minister asked from administration, which could not give satisfactory answer. On arrival of Chief Minister, doctors and administrative officers present in the hospital were amazed. Talking to the Chief Minister, a lady doctor said that he has come to the hospital suddenly which was unexpected and on his arrival, they are feeling pleasant surprise. She said that despite incidents of terrorism, the Chief Minister has come to the hospital without any security and protocol, which is a proof to the fact that he is very anxicious to provide quality medical facilities to the people. The Chief Minister said that he has come to serve the ailing humanity here and he will continue to visit the hospitals in future as well. Shehbaz Sharif reprimanded MS on ignorance about hospital affairs and appointment of doctors and said that if he cannot perform his duties efficiently then he should find some other work for him. On departure of Chief Minister, people of Raiwind gathered outside the hospital, upon which, the Chief Minister came out of his vehicle, went to them and listened to their problems. The Chief Minister assured early resolution of problems of the residents, upon which, they raised slogans “Shehbaz Sharif Zindabad” and “Dekho Dekho Kaun Aya Sher Aya Sher Aya”.
