Inauguration Of Multimedia Classrooms And Smart Lab At Govt. Girls High School G Block Gulshan Ravi, Lahore

Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that provision of quality education is the top priority of Punjab government. He said that latest technology is being utilized for modern education.

Latest gadgets are the essential to meet the demands of current era. Modern gadgets will  help to enhance the performance of the students. Punjab Minister Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan stated this while addressing after the inauguration of Smart Lab and Multimedia Classrooms at Government Girls High School, Gulshan Ravi.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif revolutionary steps are being taken for the promotion of education. Smart Interactive boards and tablets are being provided to 2000 government schools of Punjab under pilot project.

Minister Education Rana Mashhood inaugurated and visited multimedia classrooms and smart lab. He said rote-learning (Ratta) is being discouraged by introducing digital content in multimedia classrooms. In these classrooms, trained teachers will use digital content having videos, animations, simulations and assessments that will also facilitate the self-learning. Private tuition will also be reduced gradually. Quality of teaching will be improved. Students may revise their lectures at smart lab. Digital content of science and math of grade 6-10 is being taught by multimedia classrooms. Punjab Government is planning to scale up this implementation.

Secretary Schools Abdul Jabbar Shaheen said Government launched project “e-Learn. Punjab” on 6th January, 2014 to develop digital content of grade 6 to 10. Now we started its pilot implementation at 8 schools of Punjab where we are getting feedback about content, technology and adoption.

A lab of 50 tablets is being established for this school through “e-Learn. Punjab” with the collaboration of Punjab Information Technology Board.

Students can use digital content at this lab. Monthly test can be conducted at this lab. Real time result will be displayed at online dashboard of project. Around 600 students will be beneficiary of this implementation. Parents are highly motivated; most of them demanded offline digital content for their children’s usage at home.

Honourable Minister Education Rana Mashhood also inaugurated Kids lab for nursery group students.
