In view of growing cyber bullying and harassment faced by women, Punjab Women Development Department is arranging a seminar titled ‘Cyber Safety’ in connection with its ‘hertalk’ campaign. The event will be held at Alhamra Arts Council, Hall No. 2, Mall Road, Lahore on January 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Provincial Secretary Women Development Department Bushra Aman will be the chief guest on this occasion.
Awareness regarding various types of bullying will be given by Ms. Nighat Dad, CEO, Digital Rights Foundation, Lahore, Syed Shahid Hassan, Deputy Director, Cyber Crime Circle, FIA, Lahore, Hafsa Shorish Director Plan X, PITB and Momina Mindeel Mangobar. In addition, available legal provisions to counteract such challenges would be discussed with the aim to provide guidance to internet users especially young girls and women. The participants shall include students from different educational institutions and personalities from civil society.
