Provincial Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani has asked the high officials of the department to work hard and dedicatedly so as to realize the educational vision of the Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. “I want to see this department fully vibrant, responsive and based on service delivery.” This would help to promote quality education along with a culture of research and innovation in the higher educational institutions.
He was addressing the departmental meeting of officials of Higher Education Department at Civil Secretariat Committee Room, today. Special Secretary Tahir Yousaf and other officials were present in the meeting. The Minister directed that the departmental action against the officials illegally absent or absconding from their duties should be taken without any further delay. Similarly, promotion cases should be dealt with on priority and official departmental timings should be fully obeyed. He directed to include user friendly material along with Chief Minister’s educational vision at the official website of the Higher Education Department to fully benefit the people.
While discussing the departmental efficiency and performance, he directed that audit-paras should be disposed of as early as possible and the complaints of the people should be solved without any further delay through a departmental mechanism. He said that public complaints and grievances receiving through one-window operation and complaint cell should be solved according to the time-frame and told that he will personally monitor the complaints redressal mechanism. The efficient performance of the department would help to achieve the educational goals of the government and therefore, the department officials should work hard so that the higher education sector could be developed according to needs and requirements of the national and international job markets.
