Sindh Delegation Visits To Observe & Get Technical Assistance From Model Emergency Service Punjab

The delegation from the Sindh Amman Foundation visited Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 to seek technical assistance from Punjab Emergency Service for expansion and strengthening Sindh Ambulance Service. The delegates namely Dr. Ali Kashan Zonal Manager and Dr. M. Siddique Manager Operations showed keen interest in learning from the best practices of their mother institute Rescue 1122 Punjab as eight batches from Amman Foundation Sindh had received Emergency Management Training from the Emergency Services Academy Punjab and started Emergency Ambulance Service in Karachi.

During meeting with delegation, the Director General Punjab Emergency Service Dr. Rizwan Naseer, S.I ensured to provide technical and training assistance to establish comprehensive emergency management system in their respective Province. The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Farhan khalid, Registrar Emergency Services Academy, Mr. Ahsan, Head of Training Wings, Dr. Ehtisham Head of Medical Wing, Ms. Deeba Shahnaz Head, Community Safety and Information Wing and all other senior offices.

The delegation also discussed that Amman Foundation Sindh is providing ambulance service in few districts and now expanding its services with public private partnership and we are interested to know the Standard Operating Procedures, Modules and Manuals of training related to Emergency and Disaster Response, Mass Causality Incident, Bomb Blast and Fire Incident.

Upon directions of the DG Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer the Head of Training Wings Muhammad Ahsan and Head of Medical Wing Dr. Ehtisham arranged practical demonstrations and mock exercises of mass causality incident, evacuation of victims from height, water rescue, search and rescue and firefighting for detail understanding of the delegation about life saving trainings. Furthermore, the detail discussion has been done with the Director General for future assistance.

Dr. Ali Kashan and Dr. Siddique Manager Operation Amman Foundation EMS Sindh commented their views in visitor book that “The visit to Emergency Service Punjab was very good and arrangements have been done in a manner which were very conducive for learning and understanding. Indeed it was a great learning experience. We really feel proud on the amazing work you people are doing in rescue, relief and other areas. We hope these types of visits would definitely increase our coordination and collaboration. As a last point, I would like to thanks the management of Rescue 1122 especially Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Dr. Farhan Khalid, Mr. Ahsan, and Dr. Ehtisham for their kind support during the visit.
