Ayesha Ghaus Pasha Addresses CEOs Conference

The Provincial Minister for Finance Dr.Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has said that Punjab has become economically strong due to the tireless efforts during the last three years. She said that better law and order situation, reduction in energy crisis, best infrastructure and provision of skilled labour force have enhanced the confidence of the investors. She said that public-private partnership trend is increasing rapidly which has the important role in the overall development of the province. The Provincial Minister said that Punjab is trying to achieve that growth rate which is controled by CEOs. She said that Pakistan is land of opportunities which will be further enriched by CPEC.

                She expressed these views while addressing the 14th Chief Executive Officers Asia Conference 2017 on the topice “reshaping the future: Build greater Pakistan” held under the aegis of CEOs Club Pakistan, Board of Investment, Planning Commission and Private Commission of Pakistan at a local hotel.  Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha informed the participants that Punjab Government is working for the overall development of the province according to the laid-down framework as a result of which, poverty rate is reducing and growth rate is increasing. She said that thousands of youth after getting vocational training are becoming the part of international labour force according to the requirements of international markets. The Provincial Minister said that e-governance is playing important role in eliminating corruption. She said that government policies are being improved in consultation with the stakeholders. She said that neglected segment of the society is being made self-sufficient enabling them to participate in the progress of the country.  Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said that gender discrimination is being eliminated by providing equal opportunities to the women. She said that local and foreign investors are being facilitated by simplifying the laws. She said that resources are being increased for small farmers for enhancing local production. She said that special packages including agri package are being introduced for the uplift of agriculture sector. The Provincial Minister said that efforts are being for achieving more successes. She said that development of Pakistan is our common goal, therefore, it is necessary that all provinces including stakeholders should be united for achieving maximum benefits from CPEC. Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha congratulated CEO Club for organizing successful conference. Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana and Federal Minister for Planning Development & Reforms Ahsan Iqbal were also present on the occasion. President CEO Club Ejaz Nisar, Chairman Consai Paints Agha Zafar Abbas, CEO DESCON Aamir Niazi and Chairman TCS Khalid Nawaz also addressed the conference and prsented their suggestions particularly with reference to CPEC.
